Wycliffe offers many different paths for long-term and career service. The Global Service Program offers the opportunity for a one or two-year service with Wycliffe for those who aren’t quite certain about diving into a career just yet. If you’re interested in the GSP, just ask a Wycliffe recruiter. (The GSP option is not listed on Wycliffe’s website, but I believe it is still an option.)
If you’re ready to dive into career service, check out all the career paths HERE. There’s a lot more than just Greek and Hebrew nerds (like myself!) serving with Wycliffe. While we were at the Wycliffe headquarters in Orlando, FL for training we got to meet a variety of people who we’ll be serving with in Wycliffe. Here are some of their jobs within Wycliffe:
- Security liaison (former police officer)
- House parents (formerly serving as foster parents)
- IT and software developers
- Museum director
- Language surveyors (the adventurous types!)
- And of course, linguists/translators!
Bottom line–If you have a skill, we probably need you!
